SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3
to learn of the death of Deanna Z. Wilkins of Lombard, who
4
passed away on April 14, 2026; and

5

WHEREAS, Deanna Wilkins, the daughter of David R. Zorn and
6
Sondra S. Zorn, was born on June 6, 1965; she married Dean
7
Wilkins at Grace Baptist Church in Lombard on September 6,
8
1986; and

9

WHEREAS, Deanna Wilkins served as a trustee and as
10
assessor for York Township, offering 30 years of service; and

11

WHEREAS, Deanna Wilkins dedicated her time and leadership
12
to many organizations across Illinois, including serving as a
13
founding member and former president of DuPage County Animal
14
Care and Control and being active with the Rotary Club of
15
Lombard and the Warm Coats Project; and

16

WHEREAS, Deanna Wilkins enjoyed gardening, traveling, and
17
caring for those she loved; most of all, she cherished
18
spending time with her family; and

19

WHEREAS, Deanna Wilkins was a devoted wife, mother,
20
grandmother, and civic leader; she lived generously, gave

freely, and built a life centered on kindness, connection, and
2
service; and

3

WHEREAS, Deanna Wilkins was the wife of 40 years of Dean;
4
the mother of Josh (Alexandra) Wilkins; the grandmother of
5
Caiden Wilkins; the sister of David K. Zorn, Susan Zorn,
6
Steven (Jennifer) Zorn, and Kristi LaHuis; an aunt; a
7
great-aunt; and a friend to many; therefore, be it

8

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
9
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10
Deanna Z. Wilkins and extend our sincere condolences to her
11
family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12
further

13

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14
presented to the family of Deanna Wilkins as an expression of
15
our deepest sympathy.
