amended
to
read
as
follows:

The
state
hourly
wage
shall
be
at
least
$6.20
as
of
April

2007,
and
$7.25
as
of
January
1,
2008
,
and
$13.50
as
of
July

.

Every
employer,
as
defined
in
the
federal

of

as
amended
to

shall
pay
to
each
of
the

wage

the
current
federal
minimum
wage,

amended,
whichever
is
greater.

Section
91D.1,
subsection
1,
paragraph
d,
Code
2025,

is
amended
by
striking
the
paragraph.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
increases
the
state
minimum
hourly
wage
to
$13.50
18
as
of
July
1,
2025.
19
The
bill
strikes
the
state
minimum
hourly
wage
for
employees
20
employed
for
less
than
90
days;
such
employees
would
instead
21
earn
the
state
minimum
hourly
wage.
