department

shall

adopt

rules

pursuant

to

chapter

provide

for

an

application,

approval,

and

inspection

process

for

the

purchase

and

installation

of

signs

indicating

the

“President

Donald

J.

Trump

Highway”

designation

by

private

entities.

The

department

shall

approve

applications

for

sign

purchase

and

installation

that

meet

its

rule

requirements.

All

costs

and

expenses

of

the

purchase

and

installation

of

the

signs

shall

be

paid

by

the

private

entity

whose

application

is

approved.

The

department

may

approve

more

than

one

application

to

purchase

and

install

the

signs.

APPLICABILITY.

This

Act

applies

to

the

highway

known

as

United

States

highway

75

described

in

this

Act

on

the

effective

date

of

this

Act,

and

shall

apply

to

that

highway

thereafter

regardless

of

whether

the

highway’s

designation

20

as

United

States

highway

75

is

subsequently

changed

by

the

21

government

of

the

United

States.

does

constitute

agreement

with

the

This

bill

designates

United

States

highway

75

which

crosses

the

state

from

City

to

as

the

Highway”.

bill

requires

the

department

of

transportation

(DOT)

to

adopt

rules

to

provide

for

an

application,

approval,

and

the

purchase

installation
