adding

governmental

entity

officer

serves

shall

exclude

the

officer’s

home

address

from

all

official

publications.

The

inclusion

of

this

explanation

does

not

constitute

agreement

with

the

explanation’s

substance

by

the

members

of

the

general

assembly.

This

bill

provides

that

upon

the

request

of

a

member

of

22

the

general

assembly,

a

county

board

of

supervisors,

a

city

23

council,

or

a

board

of

directors

of

a

school

district,

the

24

governmental

entity

the

individual

serves

must

exclude

the

25

individual’s

home

address

from

official

publications.

The

bill

requires

that

an

affidavit

of

candidacy

for

a

27

partisan

nomination,

a

nomination

by

a

nonparty

political

28

organization,

or

a

nomination

by

petition

include

a

statement

29

that

the

candidate

is

aware

of

the

contents

of

Code

section

30

70A.40,

and

prohibits

the

state

commissioner

of

elections

from

31

publishing

the

home

address

of

a

candidate

in

any

publicly

available

publication

associated

with

the

certification

of

33

nominations.
