Cancer

an

annual

observance

on

the

first

Sunday

June;

and

WHEREAS,

a

cancer

survivor

is

any

individual

who

has

been

diagnosed

with

cancer,

regardless

of

whether

the

individual

is

currently

undergoing

treatment,

has

completed

treatment,

or

is

in

remission;

WHEREAS,

in

January

2022,

the

National

Cancer

Institute

estimated

that

there

were

million

cancer

survivors

Survivors

Month,

encourages

residents

Iowa

cancer

survivors;
