nationwide
recognize
child
care
providers

day;

WHEREAS,
child
care
systems
support
children’s

growth,
development,
and
educational
advancement,
and

create
a
positive
economic
impact
for
families
and
8
communities;
and
9
WHEREAS,
child
care
providers
are
essential
to
10
the
health
of
our
communities
by
fostering
welcoming
11
spaces,
supporting
working
families,
and
creating
12
positive
environments
where
children
can
develop
13
lifelong
skills;
and
14
WHEREAS,
as
child
care
is
a
lifeline
for
families,
15
communities,
and
the
economy,
our
state
and
our
16
communities
need
to
support
child
care
providers
to
17
sustain
the
viability
of
child
care;
and
18
WHEREAS,
Iowa
benefits
from
comprehensive,
19
well-resourced
child
care
resource
and
referral
20
organizations
that
help
build
the
supply
and
quality

of
child
care
by
coaching,
mentoring,
and
providing

technical
assistance
to
child
care
providers;
and

WHEREAS,
support
for
affordable,
accessible,

high-quality
child
care
represents
a
worthy
commitment

to
help
families
work,
support
healthy
development

and
learning
for
children,
and
keep
our
economy
