Iowa

have

enjoyed

a

partnership

rooted

in

shared

a

dedication

to

freedom,

dignity,

and

justice,

and

mutual

respect

for

the

rule

of

law;

and

WHEREAS,

Iowa

and

the

State

of

Israel

share

a

deep

cultural

and

religious

connection,

as

Iowa

is

home

to

vibrant

Jewish

communities

whose

ties

to

Israel

are

integral

to

their

heritage;

and

WHEREAS,

Iowa’s

communities

have

cultivated

a

longstanding

and

meaningful

partnership

with

the

Western

Galilee

region

of

Israel

through

cultural,

educational,

and

humanitarian

initiatives

and

recognize

the

profound

impact

the

recent

conflict

with

terrorist

organizations

had

on

the

Western

Galilee

region,

hopes

for

safe

return

remaining

hostages

taken

on

that

partnership

between

Iowa

and

Israel

has

flourished

over

the

years,

collaboration

areas

such

as

agriculture,

insurance,

technology,

and

education;

Iowa’s

agricultural

heritage

aligns

with

the

State

of

Israel’s

innovative

advancements

in

water

conservation,

irrigation,

and

food

production,

creating

opportunities

for

mutual

growth

and

innovation;

WHEREAS,

the

State

of

Israel

is

a

vital

ally

of

the

United

States

in

the

Middle

East,

playing

a

key

role

promoting

democracy,

and

peace

Iowa

committed

supporting

the

the

Israel’s

security

the

well-being

of

the

Iowa

and

Israel;

RESOLVED,

That

the

House

of

Representatives

supports

the

State

of

Israel’s

sovereignty

and

right

to

pursue,

without

interference

or

condemnation,

the

elimination

of

any

terrorist

group

until

all

such

groups

are

permanently

neutralized

and

Israelis

can

peace.
