the

general

fund

the

purposes

moneys

appropriated

remain

unencumbered

unobligated

the

fiscal

succeeding

fiscal

EFFECTIVE

DATE.

This

Act,

being

deemed

of

immediate

importance,

takes

effect

upon

enactment.

EXPLANATION

The

inclusion

of

this

explanation

does

not

constitute

agreement

with

the

substance

by

the

members

of

the

general

assembly.

This

bill

appropriates

$750,000

from

the

general

fund

of

24

the

state

to

the

Iowa

finance

authority

for

FY

2025-2026

to

be

25

used

for

the

military

home

ownership

assistance

program,

which

26

provides

financial

assistance

to

current

and

former

members

27

of

the

United

States

armed

forces

for

purchasing

homes.

The

28

bill’s

appropriation

supplements

the

FY

2025-2026

appropriation

29

passed

by

the

general

assembly

($2.2

million).

30

The

bill

takes

effect

upon

enactment.
