Senator

Julian

Garrett

was

first

elected

to

the

House

of

Representatives

in

November

2011

where

he

served

until

winning

a

special

election

in

November

5

2013

for

the

Senate

where

he

has

served

ever

since;

and

6

WHEREAS,

Senator

Garrett

earned

a

bachelor

of

arts

7

degree

from

Central

College

in

Pella,

Iowa,

and

a

Juris

8

Doctor

from

the

University

of

Iowa

College

of

Law;

and

9

WHEREAS,

Senator

Garrett

is

a

retired

attorney

and

10

farmer

living

in

Warren

County

with

his

wife,

Nancy,

11

and

has

three

children;

and

12

WHEREAS,

Senator

Garrett

thoroughly

enjoyed

his

13

time

as

a

volunteer

coach

for

Little

League

and

14

soccer,

serving

on

the

Indianola

Little

League

Board

of

coaching

SENATE,

That

Senate

honors

Senator

Julian

Garrett

for

his

years

of

service

in

Iowa

General

Assembly
