Senator
Ken
Rozenboom

Senate.

WHEREAS,
Senator
Ken
Rozenboom
was
first
elected
in
3
November
2012
and
has
proudly
served
in
the
Senate
ever
4
since;
and
5
WHEREAS,
Senator
Rozenboom
has
worked
for
years
on
6
the
family
farm,
and
previously
worked
in
agricultural
7
supplies
sales
and
production
management,
allowing
8
him
to
bring
a
significant
depth
and
breadth
of
9
agricultural
knowledge
to
the
Senate;
and
10
WHEREAS,
Senator
Rozenboom
has
also
served
his
11
community
as
an
elder
in
his
church,
as
a
member
of
the
12
Mahaska
County
Board
of
Supervisors
and
as
a
member
13
of
numerous
other
community
boards,
councils,
and
14
commissions,
including
Farm
Bureau,
the
Eighth
Judicial
15
District
Department
of
Correctional
Services,
the
16
Ten-Fifteen
Transit
Board,
the
Central
Iowa
Juvenile
17
Detention
Center,
the
Area
15
Regional
Planning
18
Commission,
the
AHEAD
Regional
Housing
Trust
Fund,
the
19
Human
Services
Resource
Council,
and
the
Christian
20
Opportunity
Center;
and

WHEREAS,
during
his
time
in
the
Senate,
Senator

Rozenboom
has
worked
tirelessly
to
protect
Iowa

farmers,
cut
taxes,
improve
water
quality,
ensure
24
school
choice,
and
preserve
life
for
all
Iowans;
and

WHEREAS,
during
his
Senate
tenure,
Senator
Rozenboom

has
served
on
the
Appropriations,
Natural
Resources

and
Environment

member,
chair),
Rules
and

THEREFORE,

BE
IT
RESOLVED
BY
THE
SENATE,
That
the
Senate
honors
23
Senator
Ken
Rozenboom
for
his
years
of
service
in
the
24
Iowa
Senate
and
wishes
him
a
long
and
happy
retirement.
