SENATE BILL No. 321
AN A CT concerning roads and highways; designating certain bridges on United States
highway 69 and 18th street expressway in Johnson county as the Representative
Robert M Tomlinson memorial bridge and a bridge on interstate 135 in Sedgwick
county as the Don Snyder memorial bridge; designating a portion of interstate 35 as
the deputy Sam Smith memorial highway; designating a portion of United States
highway 36 as the undersheriff Brandon Gaede memorial highway; designating a
portion of K-49 highway as the Pvt Michael E Gerber memorial highway;
redesignating a current portion of the 35 th infantry division memorial highway for
interstate 35; amending K.S.A. 68-1013 and repealing the existing section.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
New Section 1. Bridge No. 105-0283: 69-105-154.61 (283) and
bridge no. 105-0278: 69-105-154.62 (278) located on United States
highway 69 and 18 th street expressway in Johnson county are hereby
collectively designated as the Representative Robert M Tomlinson
memorial bridge . Upon compliance with K.S.A. 68-10,114, and
amendments thereto, the secretary of transportation shall place suitable
signs to indicate that such bridge is the Representative Robert M
Tomlinson memorial bridge.
New Sec. 2. Bridge No. 0087-B0854 located on interstate 135 in
Sedgwick county is hereby designated as the Don Snyder memorial
bridge. Upon compliance with K.S.A. 68-10,114, and amendments
thereto, the secretary of transportation shall place suitable signs to
indicate that such bridge is the Don Snyder memorial bridge.
New Sec. 3. The portion of interstate 35 from the northern
junction with United States highway 59 in Franklin county, then south
to the junction with Eisenhower road, is hereby designated as the
deputy Sam Smith memorial highway. Upon compliance with K.S.A.
68-10,114, and amendments thereto, the secretary of transportation
shall place suitable signs along the highway right-of-way at proper
intervals to indicate that the highway is the deputy Sam Smith
memorial highway.
New Sec. 4. The portion of U.S. highway 36 from the eastern city
limits of Phillipsburg, then west on U.S. highway 36 to the western city
limits of Phillipsburg in Phillips county, is hereby designated as the
undersheriff Brandon Gaede memorial highway. Upon compliance with
K.S.A. 68-10,114, and amendments thereto, the secretary of
transportation shall place suitable signs along the highway right-of- way
at proper intervals to indicate that the highway is the undersheriff
Brandon Gaede memorial highway.
New Sec. 5. The portion of K-49 highway from its junction with
west 119th street then south to its junction with United States highway
160 in Sumner county is hereby designated as the Pvt Michael E
Gerber memorial highway. Upon compliance with K.S.A. 68-10,114,
and amendments thereto, the secretary of transportation shall place
suitable signs along the highway right-of-way at proper intervals to
indicate that the highway is the Pvt Michael E Gerber memorial
highway.
Sec. 6. K.S.A. 68-1013 is hereby amended to read as follows: 68-
1013. That portion of federal-interstate highway No. 35 which traverses
the state interstate 35 where interstate 35 enters the state on the
Kansas-Missouri line, then south on interstate 35 to the northern
junction with United States highway 59 in Franklin county, then south
on interstate 35 from the junction with Eisenhower road to the Kansas-
Oklahoma state line is hereby designated "as the 35th infantry division
memorial highway."
Sec. 7. K.S.A. 68-1013 is hereby repealed.

publication in the statute book.
