A JOINT RESOLUTION designating the Barry Barrett Memorial Bridge in 1
Marshall County. 2
WHEREAS, Barry Shane Barrett was born on December 19, 1972, to parents David 3
Lee Barrett and Sandra Adair Barrett; and 4
WHEREAS, Barry Barrett founded, operated, and built Barry Barrett Trucking 5
LLC, and was a faithful member of and deacon for the congregation of Zion Cause 6
Baptist Church; and 7
WHEREAS, Barry Barrett took great pride a nd joy in his community and the 8
Commonwealth. From serving his local community in Marshall County, to watching the 9
University of Kentucky Wildcats play basketball, he found much joy in life through the 10
culture of Kentucky; and 11
WHEREAS, Barry Barrett is sur vived by his dear wife Missy Ann Barrett; his son 12
Shane (Katherine) Barrett; his daughter Samantha (Joseph) Scholl; and grandchildren MJ 13
Barrett and Evie Kate Barrett; and 14
WHEREAS, the people of Marshall County consider Barry Barrett to have been an 15
honorable man, faithful leader, and generous soul, and wish to ensure he is recognized for 16
his service and graciousness to the community; 17
NOW, THEREFORE, 18
Be it resolved by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 19
Section 1. The Transportation Cabinet shall designate the bridge on Kentucky 20
Route 2595 corssing Cypress Creek (Bridge ID #079B00142N) in Marshall County as the 21
"Barry Barrett Memorial Bridge" and shall, within 30 days of the eff ective date of this 22
Resolution, erect appropriate signage denoting this designation. 23
