A RESOLUTION recognizing February 5, 2026, as Kentucky Nurses Day in the 1
Commonwealth. 2
WHEREAS, nurses positively impact the health and well -being of Kentuckians 3
across the Commonwealth; and 4
WHEREAS, the nursing profession is recognized as the nation's most trusted 5
profession; and 6
WHEREAS, nurses have been licensed in Kentucky since 1914, and over 100,000 7
nurses are currently licensed in the Commonwealth, working in a variety of settings and 8
specialties; and 9
WHEREAS, Kentucky's nurses have been continuously dedicated to providing care, 10
teaching nursing students, contributing to the scientific understanding of illness and 11
health, and promoting good health policy; 12
NOW, THEREFORE, 13
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the 14
Commonwealth of Kentucky: 15
Section 1. The members of the House of Representat ives hereby recognize 16
February 5, 2026, as Kentucky Nurses Day in the Commonwealth. 17
Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in 18
honor, recognition, and celebration of Kentucky's nurses and the service and high -quality 19
care that they provide to Kentuckians. 20
Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to transmit a 21
copy of this Resolution to Representative Rebecca Raymer for delivery. 22
