AN ACT relating to certificate of need. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 216B IS CREATED TO 3
READ AS FOLLOWS: 4
On or after the effective date of this Act, notwithstanding any provision of this chapter 5
or any other law to the contrary, a certificate of need issued by the Cabinet fo r Health 6
and Family Services or any other state agency shall not be required to establish or 7
operate a health facility or provide health services and all existing certificates of need 8
shall be deemed null and void. 9
