AN ACT relating to branch budget recommendations. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
Section 1. KRS 48.100 is amended to read as follows: 3
(1) A branch budget recommendation shall be submitted to the General Assembly by 4
the Governor for the executive branch, including a separate recommendation for 5
the Transportation Cabinet, the C hief Justice for the judicial branch, and the 6
Legislative Research Commission for the legislative branch. The budget 7
recommendations shall be submitted to the General Assembly on or before the tenth 8
legislative day of each even -numbered-year regular sessio n, except in the year 9
following the election of a new Governor when the budget recommendations shall 10
be submitted not later than the fifteenth legislative day of an even -numbered-year 11
regular session. 12
(2) Budget recommendations shall be submitted on the fi rst day of any extraordinary 13
session called for the purpose of amending a branch budget bill. 14
