A JOINT RESOLUTION designating the Glen Stykes Memorial Highway in 1
Pulaski County. 2
WHEREAS, Glen Maldon Stykes was born on November 29, 1924, to the late 3
Henry and Lou Stone Stykes in Pulaski County, Kentucky; and 4
WHEREAS, Glen Stykes was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in 5
Somerset, Kentucky; and 6
WHEREAS, Glen Stykes passed suddenly on Tuesday, October 13, 1992; and 7
WHEREAS, Glen Stykes is deeply m issed by the community of Somerset and 8
Pulaski County; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 11
Section 1. The Transportation Cabinet shall designate a portion of Kentucky 12
Route 3091 in Pulaski County, from Wilson Road to the bridge crossing over the 13
Cumberland Expressway, as the "Glen Stykes Memorial Highway" and shall, within 30 14
days of the effective date of this Resolution, erect appropriate signage denoting this 15
designation. 16
