A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of James 1
Allen Ewing. 2
WHEREAS, James Allen Ewing was born on January 22, 1942, to John Henry and 3
Vivian Muster Ewing in Green County, Kentucky; and 4
WHEREAS, James Allen Ewing graduated from Greensburg High School where he 5
excelled in many areas including basketball and track and went on to play varsity 6
basketball at Kentucky Wesleyan College; and 7
WHEREAS, James Allen Ewing entered the United States Navy after completing 8
medical school at the University of Louisville and later returned to Kentucky to practice 9
medicine in Campbellsville until his retirement in 2017; and 10
WHEREAS, James Allen Ewing was deeply involved in several community and 11
professional organizations and enjoyed photography, hunting, and spending time with 12
family and friends; and 13
WHEREAS, James Allen Ewing is survived by his brothers Jack (Connie) and Joe 14
(Cecilia) Ewing; children Jimmy (Pam) Ewing, Jennifer (Chuck) Meyers, and Jill (Keith) 15
Lee; and numerous grandchildren and great -grandchildren; and a host of other relatives 16
and friends who loved him dearly; 17
NOW, THEREFORE, 18
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwe alth of 19
Kentucky: 20
Section 1. The Sen ate expresses its most profound sympathy upon the passing 21
of James Allen Ewing and extends heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and 22
community. 23
Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor an d loving 24
memory of James Allen Ewing. 25
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 26
Resolution to Senator Max Wise for delivery to the family. 27
