A RESOLUTION honoring the Calloway County Girls Basketball team on their 1
Kentucky 2A State Championship win and tremendous 2025-2026 season. 2
WHEREAS, the Calloway County Girls Basketball team, known as the Lady 3
Lakers, won the 2026 Kentucky 2A State Championship game against Taylor County, 4
49-46; and 5
WHEREAS, senior forward, Sayler Lowe, was the leading scorer, having made 25 6
points in the game and senior guard, Ja idan Koch, added 12 points and was named 7
Tournament MVP; and 8
WHEREAS, coach Kirsten Collins gave credit where it belongs, to the seniors 9
Sayler Lowe, Jaidan Koch, and Olivia Perkins, who played tremendous basketball and, 10
"for laying the foundation and leav ing the jersey better than they found it" to have an 11
overall record of 33 -3, an undefeated 2025 -2026 season in regional play, win the 2A 12
Sectional, and the 2A State Championship; and 13
WHEREAS, the Lady Lakers are led by coach, Kirsten Collins, who is proud of this 14
talented team of girls: #1 Jaidan Koch, #3 Angie Emery, #4 Kallie Franklin, #5 Josie 15
Haynes, #10 Emma Grooms, #11 Ann Marie Arnett, #12 Gabby Yocum, #14 Violet 16
Lencki, #15 Lily White, #31 Olivia Perkins, #33 Jadyn Stark, #40 Sayler Lowe, and #42 17
Madison Garland; and 18
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth is proud of the hard work and dedication of the 19
Calloway County Girls Basketball team and commends their outstanding 2025 -2026 20
season; 21
NOW, THEREFORE, 22
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 23
Kentucky: 24
Section 1. The Senate hereby honors the Calloway County Girls Basketball 25
team on their Kentucky 2A State Championship win and tremendous 2025-2026 season. 26
Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in recognition of the 27

athleticism and accomplishments of the Calloway County Girls Basketball team. 1
