A RESOLUTION recognizing the Nehemiah Alliance National 52 -Day Rebuild 1
Initiative and encouraging voluntary prayer, fasting, and reflection. 2
WHEREAS, the Nehemiah Alliance has launched a historic National 52 -Day 3
Rebuild Initiative, calling the people of the United States to unified prayer, fasting, and 4
repentance for the purpose of rebuilding the spiritual walls of blessing and protection 5
around our 50 states and nation; and 6
WHEREAS, the visionaries and leaders behind the Nehemiah Alliance were shaped 7
by Kentucky roots, born and raised as citizens of this historic Commonwealth, and 8
Kentucky is honored to be connected to this now-national initiative; and 9
WHEREAS, from its founding, the United States of America has been shaped by 10
enduring Judeo-Christian principles of faith, liberty, and justice, and has long understood 11
itself to be one nation under God. Throughout our history, Americans have turned to 12
these principles in challenging moments to seek renewal, unity, and moral clarity; and 13
WHEREAS, the Nehemiah Alliance draws inspiration from the biblical account of 14
Nehemiah, who—through the favor of Heaven, the authorization of government, and the 15
cooperation of leaders —rebuilt the broken walls of Jerusalem in 52 days; and in that 16
same spirit, during America’s 250th anniversary, this 52 -Day Initiative calls Americans 17
to recognize that the moral, cultural, and spiritual foundations of our society require our 18
attention and action; and 19
WHEREAS, Kentucky holds a unique historical precedent through one of its native 20
sons, President Abraham Lincoln, who, during one of the most divided seasons in our 21
Nation’s history, issued Proclamation 97 —appointing a day of National Humiliation , 22
Fasting, and Prayer in 1863, calling Americans to humble themselves, repent, and seek 23
divine guidance for the healing of the land; and 24
WHEREAS, beginning at sundown on September 10, 2026, and concluding at 25
sundown on All Saints’ Sunday, November 1, 2026, this Initiative invites people across 26
our nation to humble themselves before Almighty God through prayer, repentance, and 27

periods of fasting as each person is individually led; and 1
WHEREAS, the purpose of this Initiative is to rebuild our walls, restore o ur homes, 2
revive our hearts, and renew liberty and justice for all, reunifying us as one nation under 3
God; and 4
WHEREAS, the mission of the Nehemiah Alliance is grounded in the call of 5
scripture, including the promise recorded in 2 Chronicles 7:14, that as His people pray, 6
call upon His name, and repent of their sins and those of our nation, God will hear from 7
Heaven and heal our land; and the Alliance seeks to reflect the Body of Christ by 8
bringing together leaders, pastors, organizations, and intercessors across denominations, 9
ethnicities, and spheres of influence; and 10
WHEREAS, in accordance with 1 Timothy 2:1 –2, p articipants are encouraged to 11
serve as modern -day gatekeepers, building a spiritual wall around their homes and 12
interceding for their families, neighborhoods, schools, churches, businesses, and all 13
leaders in authority; and 14
WHEREAS, drawing from historical precedent, including General George S. 15
Patton’s commissioning of a common prayer for all his troops preceding victory in World 16
War II, participants will unite in one voice throughout the Initiative to intercede using a 17
United Prayer for America; and 18
WHEREAS, during the 52 days, focused prayers will be made for spheres of 19
culture; the 50 states and territories, the nation’s capital, Congress, Supreme Court, the 20
President and his Administration, and upcoming national elections; and 21
WHEREAS, on Saturday, Octo ber 31, 2026, and All Saints’ Sunday, November 1, 22
2026, people of faith from across the nation will gather online and in person —including 23
on the National Mall, in Washington, D.C. —in sacred assembly to pray, fast, repent, and 24
stand; 25
NOW, THEREFORE, 26

Section 1. The Senate hereby recognizes September 10, 2026, through 2
November 1, 2026, as a voluntary time of prayer, fasting, and reflection in connection 3
with the Nehemiah Alliance National 52-Day Rebuild Initiative. 4
Section 2. The Senate encourages all Kentuckians who so choose to participate 5
in this solemn and hopeful call for spiritual renewal, unity, and national restoration by 6
joining the National Nehemiah Alliance at www.na52.org. 7
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit copies of this 8
Resolution to Senator Lindsey Tichenor for delivery to the Nehemiah Alliance. 9
