A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Joan Stringer to the Kentucky 1
State University Board of Regents. 2
WHEREAS, on July 24, 2025, in accordance with KRS 164.3 21 and by virtue of 3
Executive Order 2025 -458, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Joan Stringer to the 4
Kentucky State University Board of Regents for a term expiring June 30, 2028; and 5
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 6
WHEREAS, Joan Stringer has been determined to meet the requirements of KRS 7
164.321; 8
NOW, THEREFORE, 9
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 10
Kentucky: 11
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Joan Stringer to the 12
Kentucky State University Board of Regents. 13
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 14
notification of its adopti on to Joan Stringer of Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, 15
and to Governor Andy Beshear, 703 Capital Avenue, Room 133, Frankfort, Kentucky 16
40601. 17
