A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Leon Clark Williams to the 1
University of Kentucky Board of Trustees. 2
WHEREAS, on July 24, 2025, in accordance with KRS 1 64.131 and by virtue of 3
Executive Order 2025 -457, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Leon Clark Williams to 4
the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees for a term expiring June 30, 2031; and 5
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 6
WHEREAS, Leon Clark Williams has been determined to meet the requirements of 7
KRS 164.131; 8
NOW, THEREFORE, 9
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 10
Kentucky: 11
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Leon Clark Williams 12
to the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees. 13
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 14
notification of its ad option to Leon Clark Williams of Lexington, Fayette County, 15
Kentucky, and to Governor Andy Beshear, 703 Capital Avenue, Room 133, Frankfort, 16
Kentucky 40601. 17
