A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Darrin Benton to the Kentucky 1
State Fair Board. 2
WHEREAS, on May 27, 2025, in accordance with KRS 247.090 and by virtue of 3
Executive Order 2025-006, Commissioner Jonathan Shell appointed Darrin Benton to the 4
Kentucky State Fair Board for a term expiring May 27, 2029; and 5
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 6
WHEREAS, Darrin Benton has been determined to meet the requirements of KRS 7
247.090, representing the Kentucky Association of Fairs and Horse Shows; 8
NOW, THEREFORE, 9
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 10
Kentucky: 11
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Darrin Benton to the 12
Kentucky State Fair Board. 13
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 14
notification of its adopti on to Darrin Benton of Drakesboro, Muhlenberg County, 15
Kentucky, and to Commissioner Jonathan Shell, Corporate Drive Complex, Frankfort, 16
Kentucky 40601. 17
