A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Edward 1
Todd, Jr. 2
WHEREAS, Edward Todd, Jr., was the loving and beloved son of the late Edward 3
Todd, Sr., and Gwendolyn Davis; and 4
WHEREAS, Edward Todd, Jr., answered the call of his country, serving in the 5
United States Army for an exceptional and notable career of 30 years from which he 6
retired at the rank of First Sergeant; and 7
WHEREAS, Edward Todd, Jr., served God through his membership in the Freeman 8
Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church; and 9
WHEREAS, Edward Todd, Jr., served others through his work as a licensed 10
practical nurse after his retirement from the United States Army; and 11
WHEREAS, Edward Todd, Jr., was known for his love of yard work and raising 12
exquisite roses as well as his love of reading, racquetball, history, and current events; and 13
WHEREAS, Edward Todd, Jr., set an excellent example for all the young people he 14
knew; and 15
WHEREAS, Edward Todd, Jr., was the loving and beloved husband of his wife of 16
50 years, Willie Frances "Billie" Todd; the loving and beloved father of Sharon Todd and 17
Felicia (Robert) Todd -Jones; the loving and beloved father -in-law of Pastor Bridgette 18
Todd; the lov ing and beloved brother of Pamela Todd and Dorothy Gamble -Matthews; 19
the loving and beloved stepbrother of Sandra Perkins, Mattie Dennis, Elizabeth Dock, 20
and James Perkins; the doting grandfather of Shannon Beard, Joshua Grays, Edward 21
Todd III, Gregory Todd , Jr., and Michael Todd; and the doting great -grandfather of 22
Shalanee Triplett, Jordan Grays, Jaylon Grays, and Anya Todd; and 23
WHEREAS, Edward Todd, Jr., was the loving and beloved father of Gregory Todd, 24
Sr., loving and beloved brother of Blanche Todd Thomas, and the loving and beloved 25
cousin of Laverne Martin, all of whom preceded him in passing from this life; and 26
WHEREAS, Edward Todd, Jr., was held in love, honor and esteem by many others; 27

WHEREAS, Edward Todd, Jr., passed from this earth on December 8, 2025; 2
NOW, THEREFORE, 3
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 4
Kentucky: 5
Section 1. The Senate hereby expresses its most profound sympathy upon the 6
passing of Edward Todd, Jr., and extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, 7
and community. 8
Section 2. W hen the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 9
memory of Edward Todd, Jr. 10
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 11
Resolution to Senator Gerald Neal for delivery to the family. 12
