A RESOLUTION honoring the contributions of Christian women leaders in the 1
Commonwealth of Kentucky through She Leads Kentucky. 2
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Kentuck y is blessed with a rich heritage of 3
faith, resilience, and leadership, exemplified by women who, guided by their Christian 4
values, lead businesses, ministries, and organizations, and excel in their fields with 5
distinction and purpose; and 6
WHEREAS, She Lea ds Kentucky, an organization dedicated to validating, 7
encouraging, and empowering Christian women, gives "honor where honor is due," 8
recognizing those who operate at high levels of Christian excellence or whose names are 9
whispered by the Holy Spirit to its chairs and executive leadership team; and 10
WHEREAS, She Leads Kentucky is a ministry initiative of Divine Justice, Inc., a 11
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and is affiliated with She Leads America. The founder 12
and president of She Leads America is the Hon orable Rev. Elizabeth Doyle. The founder 13
and executive director of She Leads Kentucky is Marti Ellen Thurman, JD, CCRP, and 14
the assistant director is Barbara Ann Jeter. The current executive leadership team of She 15
Leads Kentucky includes Emily Thurman, Reb ecca Bowen, Cheryl Wise, and Carolyn 16
Corum; and 17
WHEREAS, the members of She Leads Kentucky, through their unwavering 18
commitment to their faith and their communities, inspire others by exemplifying the 19
values of integrity, servant leadership, and service; and 20
WHEREAS, their leadership, through She Leads Kentucky, strengthens the moral 21
and economic fabric of Kentucky, reflecting the principles of diligence, wisdom, and 22
grace that uplifts families, workplaces, and congregations across our great 23
Commonwealth; and 24
WHEREAS, by working with their legislative partner, the Honorable Senator 25
Lindsey Tichenor, She Leads Kentucky honors these extraordinary women by having 26
their names entered into the official record of the Kentucky General Assembly through an 27

honoring ceremony among their peers; and 1
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper for the Commonwealth of Kentucky to 2
acknowledge the profound impact of these women, whose efforts align with the divine 3
calling to lead with excellence and to serve as beacons of hope and emp owerment for 4
future generations; 5
NOW, THEREFORE, 6
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 7
Kentucky: 8
Section 1. The Senate of the Commonwealth of Kentucky recognizes and 9
honors the Christian women leaders identified by She Leads Kentucky for their 10
exceptional contributions to business, ministry, organization leadership, and field of 11
excellence. 12
Section 2. Senate recognizes that the purpose of She Leads Kentucky is to 13
validate, encourage, and empower by giving honor to Christian women who lead a 14
business, ministry, organization, or operate at high levels of Christian excellence in their 15
field, or where the Holy Spirit whispers their name to its chairs or executive leadership 16
team. 17
Section 3. The Senate commends She Leads Kentucky for its mission to 18
validate, encourage, and empower these women, giving honor where honor is due as 19
guided by faith and the prompting of the Holy Spirit. 20
Section 4. The Senate encourages all Kentuckians to celebrate the achievements 21
of these remarkable women and to support their conti nued efforts to lead with purpose, 22
integrity, and devotion to the betterment of our state and its people. 23
Section 5. The Senate recognizes and honors the She Leads Kentucky 2026 24
Christian Leader of Distinction Honorees listed below – Christian women who have been 25
chosen for providing an extraordinary example of servant leadership within or impacting 26
