A RESOLUTION honoring the service of Thomas Kurtz during the 2026 Regular 1
Session of the General Assembly. 2
WHEREAS, Thomas Kurtz is a gifted scholar at the University of Louisville, where 3
he is a member of the McConnell Scholars Program and Beta Theta Pi; and 4
WHEREAS, Thomas Kurtz has served as a legislative intern to Kentucky State 5
Senator Max Wise during the 2026 Regular Session of the Kentucky General Assembly; 6
and 7
WHEREAS, Thomas Kurtz has used his substantial intellect and curiosity to 8
provide valuable contributions to the complex yet worthwhile legislative process; and 9
WHEREAS, Thomas Kurtz has demonstrated remarkable skill, knowledge, and 10
dedication to strengthening Kentucky's legislature; and 11
WHEREAS, the service and contributions of Thomas Kurtz are indeed worthy of 12
public recognition; 13
NOW, THEREFORE, 14
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 15
Kentucky: 16
Section 1. The members of the Senate join Senator Max Wise in recognizing 17
and honoring Thomas Kurtz for his impressive contributions and exemplary performance 18
while serving as a legislative intern during the 2026 Regular Session of the General 19
Assembly, and wishing him good fortune in all future endeavors. 20
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall Transmit a copy of this Resolution to 21
Senator Max Wise for presentation to Thomas Kurtz. 22
