A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Mac 1
Meadows. 2
WHEREAS, Mac Meadows was born in Paducah, Kentucky, on January 22, 1937, 3
to the late Harvey Meadows and Bertha Mae (Solomon) Meadows; and 4
WHEREAS, Mac Meadows was a member and former Deacon at Benton Church of 5
Christ and a veteran of the United States Air Force; and 6
WHEREAS, Mac Meadows retired from Westlake Corporation where he worked as 7
a chemical operator; and 8
WHEREAS, Mac Meadows loved playing golf and was a huge fan of the St. Louis 9
Cardinals, University of Kentucky Wildcats, and Marshall County High School 10
basketball; and 11
WHEREAS, Mac Meadows passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at his home 12
in Benton, Kentucky; and 13
WHEREAS, Mac Meadows is survived by his wife, Dionna Jean (Owens) 14
Meadows; son, Barry (Kathy) Meadows; daughter, Jeanne (Ronnie) Lovett; sister, 15
Charlotte (Larry) Reber; grandchildren, Brent (Brooke) Lovett, Ben (Paige) L ovett, 16
Bethany (Shaun) Hayden, Travis (Becky) Meadows, Taylor Meadows, Maddie (Alex) 17
Siefert-Dunn; and great -grandchildren, Madden Lovett, Owen Hayden, Elleigh Hayden, 18
MacKenna Lovett, Hillton Lovett, Riker Keesee, Beau Keesee, River Meadows, Remi 19
Meadows, and Cora Dunn; 20
NOW, THEREFORE, 21
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 22
Kentucky: 23
Section 1. The Senate hereby joins with Senator Danny Carroll in expressing its 24
most profound sympathy upon the passing of Mac Meadows and extends its heartfelt 25
condolences to his family in this time of loss. 26
Section 2. When th e Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 27

Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 2
