Edwards, Jr. 2
WHEREAS, Jerry Carol Edwards, Jr., was born on March 4, 1963, in Perry County, 3
Kentucky, to the late Jerry Carol Edwards, Sr., and Georgia Holland Edwards; and 4
WHEREAS, Jerry Carol Edwards, Jr., devoted much of his life to serving his 5
community and earned the respect, trust, and appreciation of the people of Clark County, 6
Kentucky, as Constable for District 5; and 7
WHEREAS, Jerry Carol Edwards, Jr., was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge, 8
exemplifying values of brotherhood and service; and 9
WHEREAS, Jerry Carol Edwards, Jr., worked with both the Wolfe and Perry 10
County Ambulance S ervices, EMS, and Fire Departments, where he is remembered for 11
his reputation for willingly helping others in need; and 12
WHEREAS, Jerry Carol Edwards, Jr., will be forever remembered and deeply 13
missed by his devoted wife of 28 years, Paula Jean Spicer Edwar ds; his two sons, Jerry 14
Carol Edwards III and Nicholas Chadwick Edwards; his three sisters, Tammy (Buddy) 15
Gayheart, Sandy (Kevin) Brown, and Susan (Elmer) Grigsby; and numerous extended 16
family members and many dear friends; 17
NOW, THEREFORE, 18
Be it resolved b y the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 19
Kentucky: 20
Section 1. The members of the Senate hereby express their most profound 21
sympathy upon the passing of Jerry Carol Edwards, Jr. 22
Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 23
memory of Jerry Carol Edwards. 24
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 25
Resolution to Senator Greg Elkins for delivery to the family. 26
