WHEREAS, Jack Melvin Miller was born on July 30, 1941, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to 3
the late Milford and Mary Miller; and 4
WHEREAS, Jack Melvin Miller was known for his integrity and work ethic, which 5
were qualities that shaped his legacy; and 6
WHEREAS, Jack Melvin Miller enjoyed a successful career in the building 7
industry, including r etiring as Senior Vice President of Marketing for Drees Homes, 8
serving as the former President of the Home Builders Association of Northern Kentucky 9
and the Home Builders Association of Kentucky, and as the former Chair of the National 10
Sales and Marketing Council of the National Association of Home Builders; and 11
WHEREAS, Jack Melvin Miller received numerous honors, such as Builder of the 12
Year and also a Community Service Award from the Northern Kentucky Home Builders 13
Association, and the Donald M. Wiedeman Lifetime Achievement Award, a recognition 14
of a career marked by excellence, service, and leadership; and 15
WHEREAS, Jack Melvin Miller was widely known to love his family farm in 16
Owen County, Kentucky; and 17
WHEREAS, Jack Melvin Miller is remembered for his se rvice to the Nation as a 18
United States Marine, and his patriotism that followed beyond his service; and 19
WHEREAS, Jack Melvin Miller, is survived by his loving wife, Jean Miller; his 20
sons, Adam (Michelle) Miller, Brian (Amy) Miller; his grandchildren, Hanna h, Emaline, 21
Rosemary, Hopestill, Kaylyn, Wyatt, Marshall, and Hudson; and many other extended 22
family members; and 23
WHEREAS, Jack Melvin Miller passed from this earthly life on December 17, 24
2025; 25
NOW, THEREFORE, 26
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 27

Section 1. The members of the Senate hereby express their most profound 2
sympathy upon the passing of Jack Melvin Miller. 3
Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 4
memory of Jack Melvin Miller. 5
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 6
Resolution to Senator Christian McDaniel for delivery to the family. 7
