A RESOLUTION congratulating Notre Dame Academy for its accomplishment of 1
being recognized as a 2025 National Blue Ribbon School. 2
WHEREAS, this distinguished body places a high value on educational excellence 3
in all schools within the Commonwealth of Kentucky; and 4
WHEREAS, in August 2025, Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills, Kentucky was 5
notified by the United States Department of Education that it had met the requirem ents 6
for National Blue Ribbon School recognition as an "Exemplary High Performing 7
School"; and 8
WHEREAS, for a school to qualify as an "Exemplary High Performing School," its 9
students must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, ranking within the top 15 10
percent of schools in the state or nationally; and 11
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth is home to many outstanding institutions that have 12
been recognized as National Blue Ribbon Schools; and 13
WHEREAS, Notre Dame Academy was one of only 55 private schools nationwi de, 14
and one of only two in Kentucky, to receive this distinction in 2025; and 15
WHEREAS, Notre Dame Academy has a longstanding tradition of excellence, as 16
this recognition marks the fourth time in its history that it has been selected as a National 17
Blue Ribbon School; 18
NOW, THEREFORE, 19
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 20
Kentucky: 21
Section 1. The Senate hereby congratulates Notre Dame Academy for its 22
accomplishment of being recognized as a 2025 National Blue Ribbon School. 23
Section 2. The Senate hereby also congratulates the other Kentucky schools that 24
were awarded the same honor in 2025, including Graves County Central Elementary 25
School, Maxwell Immersion Spanish Elementary School, Meadowthorpe Elementary 26
School, Tamarack Elementary School, and Newport Central Catholic High School. 27
