A RESOLUTION honoring John and Debbie Rogers, of Somerset, Kentucky, on 1
the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. 2
WHEREAS, John and Debbie Rogers were married on December 12, 1975; and 3
WHEREAS, their union yielded three children, Ben Rogers, Samantha Richardson, 4
and Lauren New; and five grandchildren, Hadley Rogers, Will Richardson, Olivia 5
Richardson, Charlotte New, and Skyler New; and 6
WHEREAS, John Rogers is a former State Senator and Republican leader; and 7
WHEREAS, less than six percent of all married couples surpass 50 years of 8
marriage; and 9
WHEREAS, on December 12, 2025, John and Debbie Rogers celebrated 50 10
wonderful years of loving marriage, and they mark ed the momentous occasion with a 11
celebration on December 13, 2025; 12
NOW, THEREFORE, 13
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 14
Kentucky: 15
Section 1. The Senate hereby honors and congratulates John and Debbie Rogers 16
on the momentous occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary, and wishes them many 17
more years of love and happiness in their union. 18
Section 2. The Cler k of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 19
Resolution to Senator Robert Stivers for presentation to John and Debbie Rogers. 20
