A RESOLUTION honoring Harriet Thompson of Winchester, Kentucky, for her 1
service to her community and the Clark County Republican Women’s Club. 2
WHEREAS, Harriet Thom pson was born in Clark County Kentucky, in 1946 and 3
has lived there her entire life; and 4
WHEREAS, Harriet Thompson worked for United States Department of Labor for 5
nearly 23 years before eventually retiring in 2008; and 6
WHEREAS, Harriet Thompson has demons trated outstanding dedication and 7
faithful service to the Clark County Republican Women’s Club over the course of many 8
years; and 9
WHEREAS, throughout her tenure, she has selflessly served in multiple leadership 10
roles, including Club Treasurer and Second Vi ce President, carrying out each 11
responsibility with integrity, diligence, and professionalism; and 12
WHEREAS, Harriet Thompson is widely known for her unwavering loyalty to the 13
Republican Party and her consistent willingness to assist in any capacity needed, always 14
answering the call to serve without hesitation; and 15
WHEREAS, her dependable leadership, strong worth ethic, and servant's heart have 16
significantly strengthened the mission, unity, and effectiveness of the Clark County 17
Republican Women's Club; and 18
WHEREAS, Harriet Thompson's exemplary commitment, positive spirit, and 19
steadfast support have earned her the deep respect and gratitude of her fellow members 20
and the broader Republican community; 21
NOW, THEREFORE, 22
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 23
Kentucky: 24
Section 1. The Senate honors Harriet Thompson for her years of exceptional 25
service, leadership, and loyalty, and extends its sincere appreciation for her invaluable 26
contributions to the Clark County Republican Women's Club and to the Republican 27
