WHEREAS, Steven D. Doolittle as born November 22, 1963, in Racine, 3
Wisconsin; and 4
WHEREAS, Steven Doolittle attained a Master's Degree in Public Administration 5
from Southern Illinois University; and 6
WHEREAS, Steven Doolittle began his tenure with the city of Paducah in 1990 as 7
the Director of Building Inspections, where he oversaw the planning department; and 8
WHEREAS, Steven Doolittle was known for his pragmatic approach to 9
administration and his ability to navigate complex challenges, skills he used when he 10
served, as the McCracken County Administrator; and 11
WHEREAS, Steven Doolittle later served as McCracken County Deputy Judge 12
Executive, a role he deeply cherished. He has left an indelible mark on the city of 13
Paducah and McCracken County; and 14
WHEREAS, Steven Doolittle is survived by his parents, Dean E. and Bernarda M. 15
Klym Doolittle; his life partner, Monica Morgan Bilak; children, Emily Renee Doolittle 16
and Andrew James Doolittle; grandchild, Whit William Assaad; his two sisters, Karen 17
(Brent) Braaten and Linda Peterson; along with several nieces and nephews; 18
NOW, THEREFORE, 19
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 20
Kentucky: 21
Section 1. The Senate expresses its most profound sense of sorrow and extends 22
its sincere condolences to the family, friends, and community of Steven D. Doolittle on 23
the sad occasion of his passing. 24
Section 2. The Senate recogn izes the manifold positive differences and 25
contributions Steven D. Doolittle has made for his fellow residents and the communities 26
within Paducah and McCracken County over the course of his extraordinary life. 27

Section 3. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and 1
honor of the Steven D. Doolittle. 2
