1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 26:81.1(A) and 281.1(A) and to enact R.S. 26:81.1(D) and
3 281.1(D), relative to limitations on the issuance of certain alcohol beverage permits;
4 to extend the moratorium on the issuance of alcoholic beverage permits in certain
5 areas; to provide for exceptions; to provide for definitions; and to provide for related
6 matters.
7 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published
8 as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of
9 Louisiana.
10 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
11 Section 1. R.S. 26:81.1(A) and 281.1(A) are hereby amended and reenacted and R.S.
12 26:81.1(D) and 281.1(D) are hereby enacted to read as follows:
13 §81.1. Limitation on issuance of permits
14 A. Beginning on August 1, 2025, and ending on December 31, 2026 2032,
15 no permits for the sale of alcoholic beverages under pursuant to this Chapter shall
16 be granted within the boundaries of District 3 of the Louisiana House of
17 Representatives.
