Amendments

These notes stay tied to the official amendment files and metadata from the legislature.

Plain English: The amendment changes the law so nursing facilities do not have to keep a permanent generator or alternative power source installed.

  • Removes the requirement for nursing facilities to install and maintain a permanent generator or alternative electrical power source.
  • The exact nature of how nursing facilities will store fuel or an alternative power generation source is not detailed in this amendment text.

  • Rejects all amendments proposed by the Senate to HB 1095.
  • The official text does not specify what specific Senate amendments were rejected or their content.

Plain English: The amendment does not actually make any changes to the bill text as it proposes changing 'permanently' to itself.

  • There are no actual changes made by this amendment since it suggests replacing a word with itself.
  • This amendment is confusing and appears to be redundant or possibly an error, as it does not alter the bill's content.
