2 To amend and reenact R.S. 15:828(E), relative to diminution of sentence; to provide relative
3 to diminution of sentence for the earning of an associate's degree; and to provide for
4 related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 15:828(E) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
7 §828. Classification and treatment programs; qualified sex offender programs;

10 E. Offenders who are otherwise eligible under pursuant to this Section who
11 earn a bachelor's or associate's degree from a regionally accredited and a department-
12 approved educational institution while incarcerated shall be eligible to earn an
13 additional ninety days of credit toward the reduction of the projected good time
14 parole supervision date.
