STUDENTS: Requires the administration of trauma screenings to public school students
1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 17:2111, relative to student screenings; to require schools to administer
3 trauma screenings to students; to require the Louisiana Department of Health to
4 provide a screening tool to each school board; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 17:2111 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
7 §2111. Trauma screenings
8 Each public school shall administer trauma screenings to each student in
9 grades prekindergarten through twelve during each school year. The Louisiana
10 Department of Health shall select and provide a screening instrument for this purpose
11 to each school board.
