1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 33:9097.38(B) and (F)(4), relative to East Baton Rouge Parish;
3 to provide relative to the Victoria Farms Crime Prevention and Improvement
4 District; to provide relative to the boundaries of the district; to provide relative to
5 the parcel fee imposed within the district ; to provide relative to the authority of the
6 district to change the amount of the fee; to provide for effectiveness; and to provide
7 for related matters.
8 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published
9 as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of
10 Louisiana.
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
12 Section 1. R.S. 33:9097.38(B) and (F)(4) are hereby amended and reenacted to read
13 as follows:
14 §9097.38. Victoria Farms Crime Prevention and Improvement District

16 B. Boundaries. The boundaries of the district are coterminous with the
17 boundaries of the Victoria Farms Subdivision as established in the official
18 subdivision plat filed with the clerk of court for East Baton Rouge Parish shall
19 include the area within the following perimeter: Airline Highway, Greenwell Street,
20 Joor Road, and Greenwell Springs Road.

1 F. Parcel fee. The district may impose and collect a parcel fee within the
2 district subject to and in accordance with the provisions of this Subsection.

4 (4) The fee shall be imposed only after its imposition has been approved by
5 a majority of the registered voters of the district voting on the proposition at an
6 election held for that purpose in accordance with the Louisiana Election Code. The
7 amount of the fee may be changed by duly adopted resolution of the board, not to
8 exceed the maximum amount authorized in this Subsection.

10 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
11 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
12 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If
13 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
14 effective on the day following such approval.
