1 AN ACT
2 To designate a portion of Louisiana Highway 1 in Caddo Parish as the "Virginia Green
3 Evans Memorial Highway"; to provide for implementation; and to provide for related
4 matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. The portion of Louisiana Highway 1, including north and south lanes,
7 beginning at the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Dr. and Ravendale Dr., and ending
8 thirteen hundred feet north of Deer Park Rd., in Shreveport, Louisiana, shall be known and
9 is hereby designated as the "Virginia Green Evans Memorial Highway".
10 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
11 hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation
12 provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
13 actual cost for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of the signage, not to
14 exceed the sum of seven hundred fifty dollars per sign.
