2 To redesignate the elevated portion of Interstate 220 in Caddo Parish as the "American
3 Legion Post No. 14 Memorial Bridge"; to designate a portion of Louisiana Highway
4 173 in Caddo Parish as the "Dr. Harry Blake, Sr. Memorial Highway; to provide for
5 implementation; and to provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.(A) The elevated portion of Interstate 220 from South Lakeshore Drive to
8 Hilry Huckaby III Avenue in Shreveport, Louisiana, Caddo Parish shall be known and is
9 hereby redesignated as the "American Legion Post No. 14 Memorial Bridge".
10 (B) The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are hereby
11 directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation provided local
12 or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's actual cost for
13 material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of the signage, not to exceed the sum
14 of two thousand two hundred fifty dollars per sign.
15 Section 2.(A) The portion of Louisiana Highway 173 beginning at the intersection
16 of Elder St. and North Holtzman Avenue, extending to Common St., all in Shreveport,
17 Louisiana, Caddo Parish shall be known and is hereby designated as the "Dr. Harry Blake,
18 Sr. Memorial Highway".
