1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 11:1634(B)(introductory paragraph) and to repeal R.S.
3 11:1581(13), relative to the District Attorneys' Retirement System; to provide
4 relative to the powers, duties, and authority of the board of trustees; to provide
5 relative to the authority of the board with respect to disability retirement; to provide
6 for definitions; and to provide for related matters.
7 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published
8 as provided by Article X, Section 29(C) of the Constitution
9 of Louisiana.
10 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
11 Section 1. R.S. 11:1634(B)(introductory paragraph) is hereby amended and
12 reenacted to read as follows:
13 §1634. Disability retirement

15 B. The board of trustees shall award disability benefits to eligible members
16 who have been officially certified as having a disability by the State Medical
17 Disability Board physician designated by the board of trustees. Upon retirement
