HOUSE BILL NO. 202

1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 42:375.1, relative to State Civil Service; to provide relative to the
3 announcement of classified job vacancies; to require certain information within the
4 job announcement; to provide for notice of rejection; and to provide for related
5 matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 42:375.1 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
8 §375.1. Vacancies in classified state civil service positions; announcement of job
9 vacancies; required information; notice of rejection
10 A. The Department of State Civil Service shall list the salary or salary range
11 within each job announcement for a vacant classified position.
12 B. If an individual applies for a vacant classified position posted by the
13 Department of State Civil Service and is rejected or the vacancy has been filled, the
14 department shall notify the applicant of the rejection or that the vacancy has been
15 filled, as applicable.
