CIVIL/PROCEDURE: Provides relative to service of process
1 AN ACT
2 To enact Code of Civil Procedure Article 1313(E), relative to service of process; to provide
3 that counsel of record may elect a preferred method of service; and to provide for
4 related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. Code of Civil Procedure Article 1313(E) is hereby enacted to read as
7 follows:
8 Art. 1313. Service by mail, delivery, or electronic means
9 * * *
10 E. At the onset of a case, counsel of record may inform the court of the
11 counsel's preferred method of service for all future pleadings for the case at hand.
