1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 33:385.1(B)(3), relative to the village of Tickfaw; to provide relative to the
3 office of police chief of the village; to provide relative to the qualifications for the
4 office; and to provide for related matters.
5 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published
6 as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of
7 Louisiana.
8 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
9 Section 1. R.S. 33:385.1(B)(3) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
10 §385.1. Qualifications of elected chief of police

14 (3) Notwithstanding the provisions of Paragraph (1) of this Subsection, an
15 elected chief of police in the village of Tickfaw shall reside within the corporate
16 limits of the village. At the time of qualification as a candidate for the office of chief
17 of police, a person shall have been domiciled in the village for at least the
18 immediately preceding year.
