1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 4:710(A), relative to the issuance of special licenses; to provide
3 relative to charitable bingo; to increase the number of special bingo sessions that
4 may be conducted by a licensed organization; to provide for effectiveness; and to
5 provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 4:710(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
8 §710. Issuance of special licenses
9 A. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Chapter to the contrary, the
10 office may provide by rule for the issuance of a special license for the conduct of no
11 more than two four bingo sessions annually at which the total amount of prizes
12 which may be awarded on any one calendar day under such a license shall not exceed
13 twenty-five thousand dollars in cash or other thing or things of value. Except as
14 otherwise provided in this Section, all other provisions of this Chapter shall apply
15 to the issuance of such special licenses.

1 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
2 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
3 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If
4 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
5 effective on the day following such approval.
