1 AN ACT
2 To redesignate a portion of United States Highway 171 from Louisiana Highway 118 to
3 Sandra Lane in Florien, Louisiana, as the "Speaker Joe R. Salter Memorial
4 Highway"; to provide for implementation; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. The portion of United States Highway 171 from Louisiana Highway 118
7 to Sandra Lane within the village of Florien, Louisiana, shall be known and is hereby
8 redesignated as the "Speaker Joe R. Salter Memorial Highway".
9 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
10 hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this redesignation
11 provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
12 actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of the signage, not to
13 exceed the sum of seven hundred fifty dollars per sign.
