1 AN ACT
2 To designate a portion of United States Highway 11 in St. Tammany Parish between Carollo
3 Drive and Kostmayer Avenue as the "Dan DeBlanc American Hero Memorial
4 Highway"; to provide for implementation; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. The portion of United States Highway 11 in Slidell, Louisiana, St.
7 Tammany Parish, between Carollo Drive and Kostmayer Avenue, shall be known and is
8 hereby designated as the "Dan DeBlanc American Hero Memorial Highway".
9 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
10 hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation
11 provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
12 actual cost for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of the signage, not to
13 exceed the sum of two thousand two hundred fifty dollars per sign.
