ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: Provides relative to qualifying major events in the Major
Events Incentive Program

2 To enact R.S. 51:1260(C)(5)(hh) and (ii), relative to qualifying major events in the Major
3 Events Incentive Program; to provide for the definition of qualified major event; to
4 provide for certain events held in Tiger Stadium; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 51:1260(C)(5)(hh) and (ii) are hereby enacted to read as follows:
7 §1260. Major Events Incentive Fund; Major Events Incentive Program

9 C. As used in this Section, the following terms have the following meanings:

11 (5) "Qualified major event" means any event, and any activities related to or
12 associated with the event, including but not limited to the following:

14 (hh) Any major sport and entertainment event or major concert held in
15 Louisiana State University's football stadium, Tiger Stadium, as part of the DEATH
16 VALLEY LIVE stadium series.
17 (ii) A College Football Playoff home game held in Louisiana State
18 University's football stadium, Tiger Stadium.

Abstract: Provides relative to qualifying major events in the Major Events Incentive
Program.
Present law provides for the Major Events Incentive Program.
Present law defines "qualified major event".
Proposed law provides that any major sport and entertainment event or major concert held
in Louisiana State University's football stadium, Tiger Stadium, as part of the DEATH
VALLEY LIVE stadium series and a College Football Playoff home game held in Louisiana
State University's football stadium, Tiger Stadium shall be considered a qualified major
event.
