HOUSING: Authorizes municipalities to implement rent stabilization
1 AN ACT
2 To enact Chapter 51 of Title 33 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, to be comprised
3 of R.S. 33:9731, relative to allowing municipalities to implement rent stabilization;
4 to grant authority for municipalities to implement rent stabilization measures; and
5 to provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. Chapter 51 of Title 33 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950,
8 comprised of R.S. 33:9731, is hereby enacted to read as follows:
9 CHAPTER 51. AUTHORITY FOR MUNICIPALITIES TO IMPLEMENT RENT
10 STABILIZATION
11 §9731. Authority for municipalities to implement rent stabilization
12 A municipality or parish may, by a majority vote of its governing authority,
13 adopt ordinances to implement rent stabilization measures.
