1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 46:2525(D)(introductory paragraph), (11), and (12) and to enact
3 R.S. 46:2525(D)(13) and (14), relative to the membership of the Louisiana Women's
4 Policy and Research Commission; to provide for additional members of the
5 commission; and to provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 46:2525(D)(introductory paragraph), (11), and (12) are hereby
8 amended and reenacted and R.S. 46:2525(D)(13) and (14) are hereby enacted to read as
9 follows:
10 §2525. Louisiana Women's Policy and Research Commission

12 D. The commission shall consist of a maximum of twenty-five twenty-seven
13 members. The thirteen members serving pursuant to Paragraph (12) (14) of this
14 Subsection shall be appointed by the governor, subject to Senate confirmation, and
15 serve terms concurrent with the appointing governor. The commission shall be
16 reflective of all geographic regions of the state and, as much as possible, shall consist
17 of the following members:

20 designee.
21 (12) The secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs or the secretary's
