1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 33:9091.1(F)(1)(b) relative to Orleans Parish; to provide relative
3 to the Lakeview Crime Prevention District; to provide relative to the parcel fee
4 imposed within the district; to provide for the maximum fee amount; and to provide
5 for related matters.
6 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published
7 as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of
8 Louisiana.
9 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
10 Section 1. R.S. 33:9091.1(F)(1)(b) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as
11 follows:
12 §9091.1. Lakeview Crime Prevention District

14 F. Parcel fee. The governing authority of the city of New Orleans is hereby
15 authorized to impose and collect a parcel fee within the district subject to and in
16 accordance with the provisions of this Subsection:
17 (1)

19 (b) Notwithstanding the provisions of Subparagraph (a) of this Paragraph,
20 the amount of the fee may be increased, not to exceed one two hundred fifty dollars
21 per parcel per year, as provided in this Subparagraph. The new fee amount shall be
22 as provided by duly adopted resolution of the board of commissioners of the district

1 and approved by a majority of the registered voters of the district voting on the
2 proposition at an election held for that purpose in accordance with the Louisiana
3 Election Code. Such election shall be held only if requested by duly adopted
4 resolution of the board of commissioners of the district.
